Thanks for posting these up, the Shackleton is a type you sadly don’t hear much about anymore, especially the MR.3.
I wonder how complete this one is inside, or whether it was completely stripped to save weight before going onto the roof?

Its pretty stripped internally from what my SA mates tell me. Its now one of only three remaining out the eight aircraft they had, so there were moves to try and get it brought down again, but I'm not sure how far that idea got.
Lots of bits on it I could put to good use given half a chance!!

If they don't cover those hatches and openings the birds are going to make a real mess inside... probably already have.
