Back when that happened, someone had posted a photo on another site with her nose smashed in. The comment section below was full of "whats and wheres" with one speculator offering that the -17 had suffered a bird strike. With the lack of feathers and the amount of damage, I thought to myself, where did they find a pterodactyl to run into? :shock:



the b-17 had a taxiing accident. The b-24 had a bird strike which smashed some of the plexiglass of the nose turret

Thanks for posting! It looks like the plexiglass of the 24 has been fixed
