DADE,
Would love to find out what all else that manual contains and when it was published. If you could send me a message,I would greatly appreciate it. Have conducted extensive research on early photo-recon conversions with the SBD, F2A and F4F and would love to learn more on F6F photo-birds.

As you can see this manual seems to have come from the Naval Air Station at San Diego in 1945. There are 44 pictures and due to my going away with my wife on our anniversary, I will download half as I will run out of time on the rest and my wife comes first and on my return I will download the rest.

Excellent! Thanks again for taking the time, DADE, and I look forward to the rest of the manual. Hope your anniversary went well. My wife and I just passed 55 years and the pandemic didn't do much for our travel plans.

cheers
Doug

Outstanding DADE! Thank you so much and I echo what the others have stated. I wish a similar manual has been created for the SBD/F2A/F4F conversions but I have never found any reference to one in the correspondence files. Found just about everything else but this is more than I could have hoped for. If you do run across anything similar for the other aircraft, I would love to know, but I am
Going to relish the F6F info for a loooooooong time.

Can't thank you enough, maybe I can make a donation to the museum or send you a gift card?

Yes MacHarvard our 49th wedding anniversary was good as it was in the Margaret River wine region and we were in another liquid world. Compared to your weather, it is spring here and hot with blue sky's. We have done it hard at the beginning as we closed down everything early and we isolated and face masked, plus enough alcohol hand rubs to kill any virus and it has led to zero virus cases in our community and only overseas travelers and ships crew and passengers were sick and they were quarantined in hotels at their expense with police/soldiers and security. So we have no restrictions except we cannot go overseas or go inter state, but as Western Australia is one third of Australia we have plenty of space. It will get better for everyone when the scientists get a virus killer so hang in there.

Well BuNo02100 I am glad the manual achieved such good comments. I wondered how it got to us on the other side of the world. But as more and more American people now call Australia home it may have come that way. If you want to make a donation then the museum is the.
Aviation Heritage Museum, Bullcreek, Perth, Western Australia.

So now onto the other pages.

Great stuff, Dade. Thank you for your efforts - and I hope number 50 goes better. We had sun, cake and champagne in Costa Rica. What a difference this year!

Cheers
