Weeks' B-24

Mon Jun 05, 2006 8:04 pm

This may have been discussed previously, but what is the story on the B-24? I know that it has flown within the last 10 or so years, but it's my understanding that it's grounded for airworthiness reasons. Does anyone know the specifics, and does Weeks plan on getting it in the air again? With so few B-24s flying, it's always nice to hope that one more might fly.

IIRC, one wingtip of the B24 got hit by a catering truck when the FOF first opened and I believe parts of at least one engine were used on the Short Sandringham for the Olympic Torch flight several years ago. I apologize in advance if my memory is faulty...again... :?

Thanks for the pics. My parents went last month, but I don't think they took any pics!? :(

Did Weeks finally get rid of that stupid ponytail?
