Please, would you care to explain what you were talking about? And I'll ask it again. What other B-29?

The Air Pirates found what was left of the Alabama Exterminator a few years back. There was a village nearby and the plane was picked and prodded for over half a century until nothing was left but scraps of metal and landing gear struts.

Do you have a tail number for the B-29? I've never heard of another one abandoned in Greenland - at least not one in the condition Kee Bird was in.....

...I've also read every scrap of information I've been able to find on the Kee Bird recovery and I've never read that Greenamyer's team was interested in "another B-29" up there

Thanks for asking the question again Shay. I wasn't expecting there would be much information on another B-29 there. I think an area that holds a lot of promise in search of B-29 wrecks would be China.. That's where my father's outfit was forward based and he told of some crashes on missions to Japan, as well as re-supply missions over the Hump.

Very intriguing possibility here. To find yet another B-29 site that holds the potential of recovery and restoration. PLEASE Col. Rohr....enlighten us.

Ï was just thumbing through the first WW directory, and found A-26 N5280V which ditched at Ocean Station Alpha en-route Sondrestrom-Keflavik on Sep. 4, 1960. The crew was apparently rescued. Anyone know any details about this crash, and if said plane is still up there? Where is Ocean Station Alpha?

I heard of an intact B-29. Think it was in listed in the Warbirds Worldwide Directory a few years ago as recovery pending, but with no serial number given.

I'll see if I can dig out any more info.
