Great pics, thanks for sharing! But in the KW, they're B-26s and F-51s.

What is the difference between the props with cuffs and the ones without?

As always.....(yes I know it is in contradiction) plain amazing Mr. Mark! Thank you for sharing.

I do hope that all your research, patience, curiosity and archiving efforts will endure through time with individuals or an organism that has/have the same dedication and passion as you have. I cannot express my gratitude enough with all that you have graciously shared with us through the years.

As pointed by Snake45 those are photo recon F-6D Mustangs in the first pics right? Like Lil Margaret?

The uncuffed props are newer. I think they came near the end of P-51D production and later were the standard P/F-51 replacement prop. Both kinds can be seen in KW-era photos. Both kinds can still be seen today, but the uncuffed ones seem to be more common now.

Any idea what is going on in the pic showing the mechs working on the tail area with sandbags on each horizontal stabs and a crane hooked to the aft fuselage? Maybe putting on a new tail end???

Why weren't P-47s used in Korea? Were they all scrapped by then? I know the P-51 was a better fighter but the air cooled engine on the P-47 would have made it a better ground support aircraft.Just curious.Thanks.
