North American T-6G Texan 49-3121 converted to a LT-6G for battlefield surveillance and forward air controller duties and went to the Austrian Air Force/Österreichische Luftstreitkräfte on October 1959 as 49-3121; code 4C-TA. SOC January 1967
A total of 97 AT-6's were modified as LT-6G's. Nicknamed "Mosquito".
During the Korean War, the North American T-6 was adapted for use as a Forward Air Controller (FAC), with better communications equipment and smoke rockets that could be used as markers for strike aircraft.

Gorgeous shot, Mark. Thanks for posting. Interesting to see the yellow scheme and bombs, instead of the more normal (for Korea) aluminum scheme and phosphorous marking rockets.

cheers :drink3:
