This Boeing 100 was indeed severely damaged while at Kermit Weeks place by hurricane Andrew in 1992. It is currently under restoration. See link.

I saw it while Kermit was helping clear the wreckage of the hangar.
It was so badly twisted I had to ask what it was. I could tell it was a bi-plane but that was it.
