K-6 airbase, Pyeongtaek, South Korea 1952-53
Photos by USAG-Humphreys on flickr · · · Long before it was called Camp Humphreys or later, U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys, K-6 airfield south of Seoul, Korea was home to U.S. Marine Air Group 12 during the Korean War. These photos are courtesy of J.R. Boyer, a Marine who served at K-6 during the war. They give an insight in life at K-6 and in the surrounding community during that era.

Also, interesting to see the new M38A1 Jeeo. First produced in 1952, I don't know how many made it to Korea.

These pictures are great...but I think I saw a bit of gold in two of them.
The Corsair junkyard appears to have Guy Boredelon's F4u, the only Corsair ace of the Korean conflict. His aircraft w the 5 red victory stars was wrecked when another aircraft ran into it....
