Out of interest, how difficult would it be to convert a T-33 into an F80??

I recall reading that the fuselage would not be exceedingly difficult as the forward fuselage plug was a relatively straightforward constant cross section plug that could be removed. Someone was musing about doing one, and is likely the best route to us ever seeing a representative flying example. The other cosmetic work would be the smaller canopy and the wingtips, and of course all the unseen controls and lines. The smaller rear fuselage plug could likely be ignored for a "close enough" representation (that only Wixers would argue over, ha ha ). A modern bizjet type engine would likely be a good idea, but not for the purists.
