......The 119 had 2 issues, lt oil cooler shutter motor is inop, I wired the shutters open, and there is a squat switch issue, I had to retract the gear using the emergency retract system( yes it has a emergency retract switch).

Matt, when did this 119 last fly? A few of us in the Mars thread were wondering if any 119's were still flying or when the last one flew? with some of us guessing the ones in Palmer, Alaska.

Many airports have a severe hangar shortage. He could probably sell the entire collection in one lot if he includes the hangars with them. I wish him well. The TBM Avenger was once owned by Coke Stewart Jr. , a very colorful individual. THey called COke to use his TBM in the presidential inaugural parade for PRes. Bush 41. They towed it in the parade, stopping in front of President and Mrs. Bush, starting the engine and unfolding and re-folding the wings. The Bush's loved it. He used to do a "Crazy Cub" routine in his 220 Stearman. One day he rolled it into a ball. My thought on the Grummans' TBM and C-1A is to sell them as a package. Rod Lewis and the Friedkins have a lot of Grummans but no C-1A or TBM. These make sense as a pair.
The C-119 was previously owned by Dave Brady, founder of ASA Airlines. It was flown to KBNA Nashville when they opened the new parallel runway 2R-20L. They had an aviation day and race with runners exiting the parked C-119. That was in 1989 or thereabouts. Brady was killed when his T-37 hit his A-26.
My suggestion is to follow how Platinum Fighter Sales is selling that collection of antiques. One price for the whole lot and then individual prices for each aircraft. Lots of nice aircraft in the collection.

Be interesting to see what he wants for everything or individually. Matt could probably back me up here, but nothings flown in many years? It would take a considerable amount of money to get any single one airborne, all hoses would need to be replaced, tires maybe, fabric too?, fuel tanks looked at, carbs rebuilt, so on and so forth. The stuff "inside" would still need work too, but the "big" ones outside I would think would require more work. He doesn't have anything rare so value should reflect the current market "if" everything was up to snuff...but alas. Another question maybe Matt could weigh in, why did he strip most of the big birds?, wouldn't paint help protect the airframe better than bare bones? They repainted the Albatross but thats about it. Time will tell I guess, I too wish him luck!

With the C-119, someone might like a rare or close to one of a kind warbird he/she could fly to a show them disgorge something neat.

Many museums have vehicles of some sort...it could also take a smaller aircraft, some with little or no disassembly.

It has been a number of years, the last time I flew it was about a year after the H&P Auction.

It was May June 2007,
Nothing has flown in a number of years, Hans had not even been to the hangar in Glendale for a few years. Most of the single engine planes are in Hangars, the smaller twins are under shades, the DC-3, PBY and C-119 and HU-16 are parked outside.

Bringing this back around. The B-25 and TBM sold to ACV Group LLC. What I can gather is ACV is the code for Humboldt County Airport in NorCal. They also own the T-6 'Miss Humboldt Honey' that has raced at Reno the past few years (name adds up). The group also purchased P-51 'Section 8' that will be racing at Reno this year as well, by Steve Coutches. It's listed as 'BARDAHL Special' and currently undergoing a "transformation" at Fighter Rebuilders. Lastly, the group bought the SKYBLAZERS F-86 in June it appears.
