I was in contact with him last year trying to see if the people restoring the 2 ex-RNZAF TBF-1Cs to static(but can ground run) had anything left over. Basically (and not surprisingly) he needs anything firewall forward as the major differences between the TBF-1 and the TBM-3 were there.

I never took a close look at the various registries, I figured Grumman built examples were nearly extinct. There are more than I expected.
