A bit of a stumper Col. After re-exam of the photo and the hanger

I'll venture it's an NC-1...or a sternless F3 or F5L Curtiss/Felix derivative.

According to my reference it was Convair, BUT, Convair means, CONsolidated- Vultee AIRcraft Corp, right!
