And my vote too!
Total admiration for your family's dedication to the airworthy restoration of Fairchild PT's.
I have lost count of the number that have passed through their workshop.

Thanks all

Tony - how are things in the UK - lost track of the 26 that was floating around your part of the world - I think it's owned by a Robert Quick ?

Beautiful work!
Many years ago, as I was departing an airliner, the Captain (or FO) said "bye", in his lapel was a PT-23 pin. I asked him if he had at PT-23 and he said his family had a few 19s and 23s. He seemed surprised someone knew what to it was.

So, some are out there in good homes.

Hi Mark,
It must be two years since I last heard from them but as far as I know the restoration is still going on.

There was a second interesting series of "Warbird Workshop" on UKTV/Yesterday in April this year.
Two episodes featured the same restorer and three aircraft. In both episodes the PT-26 could be seen in the hangar background.
Later shots showed it essentially complete, wings on and marked up appropriately.
In most shots the cowling was off, so perhaps it was awaiting Ranger or ancillary parts.
I am hoping there might eventually be a third series with one featuring the Cornell.
I am not that far away from the project but with the pandemic I have not visited anywhere that was not essential. I will drop them a line in the new year.
Best Wishes, Tony
