Wiley Sanders' warbirds

Tue Jun 13, 2006 1:05 pm

What's happening with Wiley Sanders' warbirds lately (based in Troy, Alabama)? They used to come to Oshkosh regularly back in the early to mid 90s but I haven't seen them since then. I know B-25 Ole Gray Mare was sold and is now in Arizona but what about his other B-25, P-51D, Skyraider, etc? Has anyone seen them at airshows in the Southern US?

TIA,
Dennis

Your right about Ole Grey Mare, Hans also bought the Grumman C-1A that Sanders had. He still has the 51, AD, T-28, DC-3, B-25. I have pictures of all but the B-25 if you would like to see them.

Thanks, Matt! A picture of the AD would be cool. Do you know if he flies any of them any more?

I don't think Willey flies them, but I understand that his pilots fly them.
