According to this post the flying Canadian Mossie has a new owner . And it’s in Canada.

Cool day for the Calgary Mosquito Society. With the sale of Mosquito VR796 in Vancouver, we 'inherited' some goodies. Enough so as to require a 53' flatdeck! 'Props' to our VP Jack McWilliam for managing this deal. Stay turned for exciting details of what we got!

I asked and was told it’s staying in Canada. They were running it up a few weeks ago :

Is she going to be a flyer or an "active demonstrator" like the Nanton Lancaster?

This was flying in 2015. But hasn’t flown since.

Looking forward to hearing more details on the new owner.

Also nice to see the Calgary Mosquito Society get a lot of parts to help with their restoration.

I hope the CWH splurged and bought it. Would be an amazing addition to the collection.

No , the poster has confirmed it’s staying in Western Canada. And yes that would have been great if the CWH got it .

Officially announced. She's going to stay in BC and live with the Hawker Tempest Mk II currently being restored by KF Aerospace.

Interesting development with a new museum being built. It seems quite promising with how far they've come.

But will the aircraft remain flyable? I'm not seeing a clear taxiway to the runway.

Awesome news! KF is also restoring Hawker Tempest II MW376, which is projected to fly in 2022.

A Living Legacy

The mid-size Mosquito will round out the Centre’s warplane exhibit, nestled between the robust DC-3 and svelte Hawker Tempest MKII. As with the other warplanes, the Mosquito is intended to be a live display.

“The goal is to have it flying,” says Quinn. “There are only a few pilots in the world who can fly this aircraft and one of them has agreed to fly it here for us.”

For future reference, this is C-FGXW, formerly N173RD and before that C-FGXW / CF-GXW / CF-TEG / KG769 / 43-48052, cn 25313/13868.
One I haven't photographed yet, and so a reason to return to Kelowna (as if the Mosquito and the Tempest weren't reason enough :-)).

If you check the address given on their website, it looks to be right on the airport.
