What is the history of that airframe? It is beaten to pieces and appears to be assembled with pop rivets.

I'm pretty certain it/they are replicas used for exterior shots. There's a long history of replica planes in Hollywood especially if it doesn't need to fly. See the P-40's blown up in "Tora, Tora, Tora", pretty much every moveable aircraft in "The Right Stuff" etc. I noticed the pop rivets holding the panels together. Not exactly aviation quality construction methods.

These pics were taken recently from the wrap ups of the Hanks / Spielberg "Masters of the Air" production. These are a couple of the B-17's on flatbeds near Brome, Suffolk.

According to the article they were built by BGI Supplies in the UK, see link below for company information. They also have a Facebook page. Don't know if the company that built them retains ownership or not, but you could reach out to them.
