Many of those names are on there to honor loved ones and their comrades in arms.

I'm all for honoring our vets. but, I've very seen anyting quite like that.
It's almost like the paint jobs an afterthought has the names are so overpowering.
One question..........
What's the function of the crewman standing up in the open escape hatch?
Does that serve a real function or just a cool place to be and get into everyone's photos?

He's the safety observer. He can see things the pilot and copilot can't see.
It's especially helpful when operating in tight quarters on an airport configured for GA aircraft.

That crew position has saved alot of wing tips.
