Note that any test flights are purely discretionary, not mandated by the FAA. The aircraft already has an airworthiness certificate.

Neat overhead shots from the EAA Flickr feed. Its too bad the concrete ramp near the Warbirds in Review area isn't included in these as it has some cool stuff as well.

1. Who's running that Stinson L-1 now?

2. Cool to see the new markings on the CAF P-39!!!

3. Even cooler to see Bud Anderson there!

Son Nathan's pic of Dad's photogenic side...just to prove that some folks still think I'm good enough to push their Messerschmitts around.

It remains owned and flown by Pat Harker.

Thank you, Dan, for sharing these photos!

The Lysander and a Sea Fury are now on the field. I picked the wrong day. Will really kick myself if the 109's fly. Looks like the SBD departed (Fond du Lac?)

I kick myself all the time at Oshkosh. I kick myself for days that I'm not there when something cool happened, for a few hours I might spend at the museum or someplace when I miss something cool, and even kick myself for minutes spent on a trip to the can when something cool went down. I end up with a lot of kick marks.

But, the 109 guys just confirmed at the Warbirds in Review session that the 109s will not be flying this week, so this is one kick you can spare yourself. Bit of a shame for those who are there, though.

John, did that L-1 used to be based in San Antonio, Texas years back?
