Well... I guess the next bit of speculation that needs to be addressed here is if Steuart's collection is going to be heading northwest?

aviation museums, vintage airshows and more. We're kind of
hard pressed for anything good in our neck of the woods.
I hope this means that maybe, just maybe I'll be able to catch
a glimpse of some of these wonders either at their new home or
if we're ever blessed enough to have another air show at Little Rock.

But I do wonder.. Is there a fairly complete list of what made up the FHC at
its height?

Website still lists everyting in the collection

The Seattle Times piece is interesting.

But given Walton's efforts to build "cultural and economic development" (to quote the article) efforts in Arkansas, one might ask if the collection will stay in Everett forever.

Re-opening it in Everett may be a practical necessity given the space requirements of the museum....but I'm sure Walton knows a few firms used to erecting large buildings.

Then again, Seattle gets more visitors than Bentonville...so there could be sound financial reasons for remaining in Seattle.
But sonehow, worrying about the number of $15 admissions to keep the lights on may not be a concern for Walton.

And as a practical point, warbird fans might find some benefits with the new owner...
-perhaps the secrecy in which some seemed to hallmark the FHC will disappear.
-Or simply, the B-17 might go in display.
