just got off the phone with one of the crew of aluminum overcast. they are in seattle this weekend but have had to cancel flights due to a separating cylinder head. the plane is being taken to a hanger at this very moment, 630 pacific time, and they are going to attempt an overnight repair, by installing a new jug. last year at their weekend in seattle, fuddy duddy was filling in and they had landing gear trouble which also stood them down for a day. buddy thinks that they are jinxed in seattle. just to let those know who may be booked for a flight ,as i was, to check in and see what their status is before having to drive any distance. BUMMER!!!!

Does anyone have any news if they even got their problems fixed and are back on tour?

Thanks
Eric

The EAA B17 web site indicates some dates for later in June, but has not posted other news.

I flew on her on June 2nd at Spokane, Washington which was her stop after Seattle and she purred like a kitten. So, fortunately, the engine trouble was only temporary and the tour continues.

The schedule always had a huge gap like that since the schedule came out back in February! I think it is for maintenance.

It takes a little time for the support vehicles to go to each event, thus the time delay.
