This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

A good friend of mine told me that he has been looking for quite some time of a photograph of the B-24 that his father flew in. I told him about this site and told him that I would ask the members here if anyone had any pics of the plane.
This B-24J was shot down over occupied Holland. The crew that survived were initally taking in by a famer by the name of A.J. Kolkman and his wife. They took care of them for a while but the crew, knowing that the German forces would kill the farmers for harboring them, talked the farmer into turning them in. They were released from Stalag Luft 3 at then end of the war.
