I can't upload a photo as big as it is, and
neither my cell nor my work computer can simply resize the thing. Arrgh!
If you want to see shots of them, someone' posting photos from the set here, if you're a member:

This is why I found the 'Photo Editor' app on Android, to actually resize photos.

Nope, it's one of at least two full scale, accurate reproductions. The work being done for this production is absolutely staggering, and quite exceptional.

An update on "Masters of the Air". It looks like the series may finally debut in September. If true, its been a long time coming. I remember the January 2015 cover of "Flying" breaking the story of the series. It has big shoes to fill. The disappointing thing is that Apple will probably not release it on DVD/Blu-ray.
A $300 million TV series delayed so long everyone forgot it even existed might be premiering in a matter of weeks

I don't subscribe to Apple TV so I wonder if this will eventually be released as a DVD?

Am I alone in finding it odd that we're this close to a release date (which I'm not betting my life on) and
not one trailer has been released from Apple?
It was forgotten by so many because it announced
several years ago, then almost no info came from the set since then. What little we've found, most came from outside sources or people who managed to sneak onto the set.

Man,
I sure hope so. But they never officially released Tom Hank's movie about chasing U-boats on DVD or Blu-Ray.

Saving my free 30 day trial for when it finally drops...

I too am saving my 30 day trial as well. I just hope that they release it all in one go and not drop feed an episode every week.

They say this is the most expensive miniseries ever, so I would expect them to release it on DVD to help recoup production costs.
After all, wasn't Band of Brothers and The Pacific released on DVD (they are currently on Netflix as well).
The failure of the Hanks vs u-boat film to show up on DVD, may not be relevant... unless he was a producer. At any rate, it probably only cost a fraction of this effort.

I remember seeing the series announced on the cover of the January 2015 issue of "Flying". That was 9 years ago! If you have not, read the book.
Yes, Apple does release their shows to disc. Season 1 of "For All Mankind" will be available on Blu-ray in November 2023. But the big question is, will they release "Masters of the Air" to disc? Only time will tell.
I will not buy a digital copy, I want a physical copy. You do not own a digital copy and it can be removed from your collection by the provider. This happened back in 2009, when Amazon remotely deleted some digital editions of the titles of "1984" and "Animal Farm" from the Kindle devices of readers who had bought them.

Who owns a DVD player anymore?

As do I.
DVDs and Blurays still do very well in sales. The studios want to push the uploading thing as it's far cheaper than making discs and the producers can contorl your access to it.
Lots of people still want a hard copy for a variety of reasons (such as there are lots of people in the world who can't stream stuff due to crummy connections where they are) and discs still sell well enough for the studios to be able to ignore that market.
'Avnut' gave a great example why people want discs, because you have no recourse over 'buying' a program or movie and then the provider deletes it because they no longer have the rights to host it.
