The Connie is in Madison. Engine issue before takeoff yesterday. Jet dispatched to California to get the needed parts. Still trying to get there...

Rosie isn't there. It was mentioned during the Warbirds in Review yesterday that a last minute scheduling conflict came up, and she couldn't be there. They substituted a different L-4 in it's place for the presentation.

Looks like a Yak-3 or -9 just taxied in on the Warbirds cam.

As of last month, "Rosie the Rocketer" was still hanging from the rafters, above other displays, inside the Collings' American Heritage Museum (it didn't seem likely they were going to go through the trouble of getting it to Oshkosh).

The Yak-3 that flew-in earlier this afternoon is Bill Shepherd's (N17ZA). It was at Oshkosh a couple years ago too.

Bad storms up there this morning. Hopefully everything made it through.

Landing a B-52 at KOSH requires removing the runway lights from 36 first. My guess is the scheduling between the airport and USAF just couldn't be worked out.

RIAT tried this year without removing the lights. Note the destruction as the BUFF taxis back in:

Wow never knew that. But watching the video, he did a prety good job bowling those down. From what I hear about the AF, hopefully they didn't take his wings. International relations and all.

Was at OSH for the first time from Saturday until Monday. Then had to come back home for work (as I didn't have that much time off). Now sitting here at my computer at work watching the EAA cams, its a bit surreal to think I was there only two days ago. Oh well. There is always next year. And I definitely would love to go back!

Any news on the Connie? Is it likely to be repaired in time to make it to the show? I am going tomorrow and Friday, and I was hoping to see it.

Latest on the Lewis Air Legends instagram is it is still delayed but they are going ahead with the Warbirds in Review planned for tonight at 6:15. Hopefully more info will be presented then.

Chris, since you're an experienced airshow attendee, I (and I'm guessing others) would enjoy reading your first impressions about the experience! Did it somewhat meet your expectations? Over-hyped?
