Unfortunately, it looks like it did incur some damage to the dorsal fin.
: The tail vertical surface was taken off prior to transport. I think the museum staff is well aware of the Arado 196 that lost its upper portions to a bridge during transport to Pensacola (that aircraft is now being restored in Germany).

What happened to the live stream webcams from Udvar?
: Those have not been available for quite some time. I much miss the cam that there used to be at Garber while aircraft were being prepared for UH.
I keep an eye out for UH Restoration pictures from Flickr. It appears that many people take a lot of pictures from the main hangar, but apparently do not appreciate that there are overlooks above the restoration floor.
Currently in the restoration area are the Flak-Bait, Lincoln-Standard, Ilyushkin 2M (earlier version, with 9 degrees swept wings rather than the 15 degree sweep of the 2M3) and F-86F, the latter just accessioned for the Modern Military Aviation gallery at the Mall museum.
I hear that the next restoration may be the Sikorsky JRS-1.
