Great photo of the nursres.
Just wondering, what color is the BT-13?
Most seem to have been silver by that time of the war, and it doesn't look like the early war blue/yellow.

A photo on the previous page is captioned (apparently by the USAAF), "first Tuskegee Airmen class."

This is wrong. The first class to graduate had only five members.

LysanderUK wrote:It has been widely claimed that P51D "Tall in the Saddle" is a genuine Tuskegee aircraft, and the history section on the Hangar 11 site seems pretty conclusive. However, I have also heard claims that this may not be the case and that its exact service in the MTO can't be verified due to loss of records. Can anyone elaborate further?

That's just a flat out lie. Too proclaim it to the pilot and his family is ghastly!
I have 15th AF inventory report for April 1945 and it clearly states that P-51D 44-72035
was assigned to the 31st FG!!!
Straight from the National Archives!!
