"I'm not going to any shows until 2007"
WTF are you saying? Elaborate!

No word on flooding, I hope the Mud and soft earth doesn't become a problem this year again.

Line up looks great, but did I miss something? Why is the Lanc no longer on the list?

No it isn't. VWoC doesn't want to go too far from home with the Hurricane in their first year. I would suggest that is wise. I had heard the Mustang was going to Geneseo, but it isn't on the list. I'll ask this weekend when I am in Gatineau.

Mike I think the Mustang is near the bottom of the list.
Yes, it appears that Lanc is off, I hope that is an editing oversight.

A friend told me the Lanc's pilots said they weren't going.
I get a Ju 52 to park the Focke-Wulf next to.
Ha!

Dang it, at this rate I'll never get to see a Lanc fly

There is Thunder Scott, If they show up.

The Lanc cancelled yesterday. The pilots didnt want to land on grass. The P-47 cancelled because their insurance wouldnt let them land on grass. Appearantly flying off of grass has people smoking grass cus its so much EASIER!
The HAG DC-3 has been flying for the last few days getting a few pilots some stick time. The B-17 is there along with DT's C-47. It has been raining everyday a little but hopefully it will end soon. They are mowing the field for the next few days and getting set up in general.
I heard 6 P-51's were supposed to show, a B-25, and the JU-52.
We started flying today.

Hi Chuck,
What kind of condition is the field in? Any lakes?
Fri Jun 30, 2006 6:24 pm
It is fair right now. It's not flooding here as in other parts of the state. The weather has been very tropical with late day rain everday. I think we brought it from Florida with us.
The north end of the runway seems to have been improved but I dont plan on going that far down there. The DC-3 has been using it though.
I was hoping to finally meet you in person Rob.

Thanks for the pictures Chuck. Great to see the HAG’s C-47 in the air. They must have put some long hours in to get it ready for the airshow. Great job to all who made that happen!
Can't wait until Friday when I get to set foot on the field again!
Tim
PS
Thursday night is last call for the beer wish list! Sounds like the IPA will be in high demand.

Keep us posted on the condition of the field Chuck, as for me and other flyer, it'll be a determining factor whether or not we drop in...

The field is fine, except that is not paved.
Just kidding, dont shoot me!
It is dry and recently mowed and all other preparations are being made everyday for a good event here.
Let me know when your flying in and you can call me up on the radio. PM me for our company frequency.
