This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

My attention has been drawn to this:
http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry ... rtxt=5955F
The C/N of 185 makes it a G-59-4B with serial MM53778. This is not on the registry

I wonder if this is the Jerry Jagen 'Italian' bird mentioned a few months back:

Years ago there was a (I think) a G-59 Wreck at Duxford (I think owned by OFMC) I wonder if this is it?
Any more info

Paul,
Wasn't the Fiat wreck at Duxford a G-46 and not a G-59 ?
See this thread on Planetalk - 5th photo down

If so then I thought it was owned by ARCo and not OFMC

Lynette Zucholli's Fiat G-59B in Australia was for sale recently. Perhaps it's that one?

OK - yep is was a G-46.. I was doing it from memory!!! and it was ARCO.. I knew it was not TFC, I just got the wrong other outfit!!!!
Thanks
Dave - I am almost 100% certain is is not the same aircraft at the Zucholli's machine..That has a different C/n and serrial number

Ah, so it's been registered now!
Nice to see that it will see the light of day after so long in storage.
I'm sure that the new owner will have it restored appropriately.

Oh, and I have the airframe listed as MM53778 in my records, so can confirm your projection from the c/n as registered (185) Paul.
