Wow, that is a shock! What a loss to the warbird scene, and in the prime of his life as well. Condolences to Paul's family :(

As already stated, a complete and unexpected shock. Wishing a quick healing from hurt to family and friends.

Holy cr*p. :( Paul was the first guy I got in touch with here in Europe regarding surviving warbirds, and especially P-51s. That was 1985 and he was always interested in talking about his favourite a/c.

RIP Paul!

This saddens me. A few years ago I sent an e-mail to him asking about one of his books. He took the time out to e-mail a very nice reply and answer several other e-mails of mine. A great loss to the warbird community. My condolences to his family.

I just don't know what to say. This really is a shock. As bad as I feel now, I know the family must be feeling much more pain. My condolences. Paul was a super nice guy and will continue to be in my memory.

Mike

This is a huge shock!! I've communicated regularly with Paul since 1988 and he's always been so full of enthusiasm for warbirds and their preservation. He was always willing to share advice and information from his vast knowledge of the warbird community, both aircraft and people. His expertise will be greatly missed in the warbird world. My deepest condolences to his family.

Paul was also the first person I talked to about Warbirds in England and Warbirds Worldwide in the early 80's. My condolences to his family

My heart is broken! Paul was one the best, & most wonderfull people we have had the privildge to have been involved with, in the things that we hold so dear to our heart. He indeed had a feel for these old airplanes & history that we can only hope only to ever get a clue too! God Rest Your Soul Paul! My thoughts are with your family & loved ones.
In Best Regards
Robbie

The news sadden me.

Paul was a good electronic friend; we had kept in touch through the years, in, what else, anything Mustang related...

Just earlier this morning I was thinking that I had not written to him recently, and I had not received anything from him.

I will surely miss his knowledge and kindness.

Descanse en Paz, Paul.

Tulio
