Very nice Col!

I like the way the background foliage frames the iris.

Hi, Don!

All the photos relate to my travels within the last 8 months.

First two, Moab UT

Next two, in NW New Mexico

Fifth is Hell's Canyon, OR

Next three are The Tetons, WY, another mountain shot east of
the Tetons, and the barn, all of them in WY

The next two (the Cumbres and Toltec) are in Colorado a couple of weeks ago.

The last two, are in New Mexico, October 2005.

Saludos,

Tulio

Old Son, THAT'S THE ROAD TRIP OF MY DREAMS! I've talked about that for years. It'll probably have to wait for retirement  (Not THAT far away  ), but I'll get there sooner or later! And again, I love those photos. Any time you feel the urge to post, I'll be happy to look! 8)

I just noticed that the correct name for the Canyon in Oregon, has been censored by the software.

It is Helllls Canyon : ) not hecks : )

I have tons of pictures, most are still in RAW format and one of these days I will start re-sizing and posting some of them.

Road trip? You should go ahead and start now, one weekend at a time, one road, one destination!!!

Saludos,

Tulio

Oh, I do the occasional R/T, But, at that rate, and my speed, it will take me that long to work my way from Maine to the west! But, as you said, one road, one weekend, one destination at a time. I've seen some great places that most people wouldn't even think about, and some they have. And when I make the "Great Road Trip" I plan on taking 8 or 9 months.
Don

I've got to remember to take more pictures other then airplanes!

Thank you, Tom!!

Don, I know what you mean! I try my best to go to out of the way places, where not too many people venture, and sometimes, I have parks, monuments or landmarks, just to myself, without human noise, without time constraints!

Saludos, guys.

Here are a few that of my "Other" shots.

Here is a Fawn that was in our yard last summer. There were two but this is the only shot I have in Photobucket and I'm too lazy to load anymore.
Image

This a a visitor to our house one day. I like turtles so I hung out with him for a while snapping pictures. And no I have never had turtle soup (yet)
Image

Here is a Spider that was hanging around collecting bugs in one of our Gardens, there were two of thes in our Raspberry patch that Kelly wanted me to kill. I put it off until I could not find them, I was still very careful when picking fruit.
Image

This was our cat Java (I have a thing for coffee not cats). He was on the other side of the Snapping Turtle checking it out, looks like it was stalking the turtle but he cat was sure to always keep a very safe distance, oh well.
Image

THis is a sunset taken from the campsite on my parents land where I grewup. This was the last time I went camping up there before the homestead was sold, it was a great send off.
Image

Maybe later I'll post a few more

Tim

Seems later enough.

This was taken in Arches National Park in 1997. It was Labor Day weekend and I decided that I wanted to take a road trip from LeMoore, CA to Nevada, Utah, and Arizona in 3 days. I think it was 3-day later, one ticket that should have been for 25 MPH over the speed limit and 2200 miles later that I returned back base. What a great weekend, I think I hit 6 national parks that weekend and more in 3 days. Image

This was taken in the Sierra Nation forest between Sequoia National Park and Yosemite National Park. It was an area that I camped a few times with my friends that I was stationed with. I’d get board and would take hikes. This was one I kept looking over my back for Mountain Lions, as there were several attacks in the news, but they were no where near were I was.
Image

This is a flower form a Dogwood tree on my property. I thought it was pretty cool looking or was it a need to take a picture. I think that if I spend too long away from my camera that I start to feel withdrawal.
Image

Why did Tim not catch any fish? Because he took his camera along fishing! This is my Uncle Sherman thinking he had a fish or something. While it is hard to get up before 8am on Saturday it was a very nice day to hit the stream.
