The rest can be found here. http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b67/sokotai/Ankeny/

Also included are some photos from the Iowa Aviation Heritage Museum and their T-6, N3N, PT-19 and the great Byron Original's 1/5 scale R/C aircraft hanging from the ceiling.

Thanks for looking.

I had always wondered where byrons big birds went after they closed down the airplane side of business......

I guess now I know.

Better for them to have gone to a museum than to someone who would fly and crash them!

What scale are those models suspended from the ceiling? They look like R/C planes? Are they for sale?

they are in a museum and I am guessing that they will never be 4sale.
The company that built them was byron originals, maker of scale R/C aircraft and these were 1/5th size models they used for their annual fly-in and show.
The zero's in the one pic were catapult launched at the shows and flew until the F6F's shot 'em out of the sky.... with a very large bang and fireball...
I never saw the B-17 fly, but the -29 and -25's flew lots of times. They also had a airobatic routine with three F-15 eagles...also 1/5th scale.
I had their F-16 and BD5 micro jet and i must say they had good easy to build and fly scale models. A bit pricey, but I think they were worth it.

Thanks too bad Byron isn't making those kits any longer.

They also have the 1/5 train, Pt-boats, and sherman.
Here is a link to some videos from the Striking Back show when it was held in Ida Grove, Iowa
