Ready 4 Duty
Known as “Ready 4 Duty”, the Douglas R4D-6S is the U.S. Navy’s version of the legendary DC-3 airliner and C-47 military transport aircraft, powered by Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp engines.

“Ready 4 Duty” is on route to Europe, as part of a 12,000 mile “Navy to Victory Tour” organized by the Commemorative Air Force, which takes place across 7 countries from mid April – mid July, marking the 80th anniversary of the Allies’ Victory in Europe in WW II.
