I live by the Hammondsport C-46. It was owned by the Smithsonian. It ended up in Elmira ny. I saw and talked to Owen Hughes painting an insignia on it at the 1999 wings of eagles airshow. -He painted the nose art on B-29 DOC. The museum closed for awhile and the C-46 ended up at the Glenn Curtiss museum. I'm kinda sad about its current location-in the middle of a small swamp.

was 44-77635 one of those aircraft. There's a picture of that one at Davis-Monthan, in Oct 1968, however looks like it may have been there for some time

Sadly not; retired in 1958.

Thank you, that makes sense with the condition - She was in the Bone Yard when a photo was taken of her in Oct 1968
