A new addition at Fagen Fighters

Wed Sep 10, 2025 11:30 am

Fagen Fighters has announced that they've placed P-39D 41-6951 on display. It was purchased from the Beck Museum in Australia. This is s combat veteran with the 5th AF, that is credited with being the first USAAF type to score an aerial victory in PNG. They said it's on static display until a restoration happens. The photos they shared on Facebook aren't super clear, but if it's in survivor condition, I hope it's left alone. Either way, a great addition to an already outstanding fleet.

Found some photos of it at its prior home. Looks like a great acquisition!

Fagen has already stated the plan is to restore it to airworthy at some point.
