I recently read an article where Robin Olds daughter and grand-daughter went for a ride in this P-51.
I thought this plane was completely destroyed in a crash in 2003.
Does anyone have an info on the rebuild of this plane? The one post-crash picture I saw looked like it was almost completely destroyed. Robin Olds referenced the crash in his book "Fighter Pilot" (Awesome book!)

A replica of a replica then. It happens a lot in the warbird world even now. Yet it does make one wonder what happened to the original aircraft after "replica 1" was constructed. That too also happens a lot in the warbird world even now.

The link to the other thread answered a lot. Seems like virtually nothing is left of the original Scat VII. At least General Olds F-4 is still around...on display in the Air Force museum.
