I would like to know if there is an office, in the Navy, that I can send to to get the history of a specific BUNO.?

Thanks

(N)F-14A BUNO. 160666

The restoration director at the Western Aerospace Museum contacted me the other day letting me know that 160666 is going into the paint shop here soon and was wanting now more of her history prior to China Lake.

Here is what i've got so far (I can't vouch for the accuracy yet):

Operational History:

-Construction Block 100

• May 30, 1979 - Feb.25, 1980 (WestPac) CVW-15 (NL) CV-63 KITTY HAWK, VF-111 Sundowners, Modex 200

• Apr.1, 1981 - Nov.23, 1981 (WestPac) CVW-15 (NL) CV-63 KITTY HAWK, VF-111 Sundowners, Modex 200

• Mar.1, 1983 - Oct.29, 1983 (World Cruise) CVW-15 (NL) CVN-70 CARL VINSON, VF-111 Sundowners, Modex 204

• Apr.1988, NAD Norfolk

• Jun.23, 1990 - Dec.20, 1990 (WestPac, Indian Ocean, Arabian Gulf), CVW-14 (NK) CV-62 INDEPENDENCE, VF-21 Free Lancers, Modex 206

• Sept. 30, 1994, NAWC China Lake , VX-4 (XF) Evaluators, Modex 30
note: Not sure about the date, because by Apr. 1994 VX-4 merged with VX-5 to become VX-9 Vampires

As you can see there are still alot of blanks. I was just wondering if all of 160666's stationings were listed in a record available to the public. Thanks
