I was flipping through a copy of
Aeroplane magazine at the local Barnes & Noble, and I read a small article that the P-47 "Dottie Mae" is being kept in a "secret" location in Indiana. Being an Indiana resident and a huge P-47 fan, I was very excited to learn this. If anyone involved would like to invite me to visit, I'd really appreicate it!

I ran across this awhile back. Images by the fellow who designed the
sonar that found Dottie Mae, IIRC. One pic as she's seeing sunlight..

Thanks for the conformation. Guess I shouldn't believe everything I read in print...lol. Went to Chino when I was about 14...need to get out there again. I'm sure a bunch has changed in 17 years!

bdk, can you get pics?

Unfortunately, no- not without permission. It is under a tarp and it would be rather presumptuous of me to take the tarp off of someone else's airplane to take photos.
