The aft fuselage has "-222" on it... I fear that it might be Flying Fossils' F-86 based at Hickory, NC where the crash took place.

Dammit.

Dammit, dammit, dammit.

Yet another Sabre bites the dust, killing yet another dedicated enthusiast and leaving his friends and family grieving.

Echoing another poster... why do these things have such problems? Steve Snyder, Jimmy Rossi, now this one... and there's at least two others I'm leaving out... what's the story? Are Sabres that delicate?

Saddened and frustrated with another tragic loss of life and the destruction of another gorgeous aircraft...

And Dave Zeuschal... High performance aircraft are not very forgiving.

Let's patiently wait for the accident report and see what can be learned from this unfortunate incident.
