Kee Bird website

I was looking at some old photos of the B-29 Kee Bird at www.B29Keebird.net including some photos taken the day the crew was rescued. Here's one from that website showing the oil draining out of the Pratt and Whitney engines, and the crew behind the plane.

Did want to bring back bad memories of the failed recovery I'm just amazed at the photos taken of Kee Bird at the time with her crew.

Ummmm...Pratt and Whitney engines? Is that the "Wright' engine for this plane? I think not.....

oh man those smoker pics turned my stomach again. saw them right after the debacle occurred.
