Several weeks ago the deal was made. I helped give him the lowdown on each aircraft and recommended which Corsair to get. He called, made offer and bought himself two of the best. Will go nice with his other stuff.

Can't say who.

Very nice!

It is interesting that Lone Star's Bearcat is already sitting down here for sale and was passed up on (although if I had the choice, I'd take a -1 also. I like that short tail.) and it is also interesting that the first Osbourne Corsair ended up in Texas too.

Any chance we might see the P-51 at Wings Over Houston? I'd like to swing through Uvalde sometime to check her out on my way out to the Frio.

They are not coming to Uvalde, but will be very close. The F8F-1 that was purchased is one VERY nice aircraft, as is the FG-1D. I would say the FG-1D is second to none right now.

I have not heard if we are taking the Mustang to Wings Over Houston. It would be fun tho. Last couple of times we went, my wife and I were VIP guests of Chevron/Texaco. They treat you real good in the VIP area.

Not Uvalde but very close. Hmmm. You also said it will go nicely with his other stuff. Hondo is close but so is San Antonio. I'm blank on this one. Great to hear they will be in Texas though. Hopefully we'll seem them around.

The Mustang would be most appreciated at WOH. I would love to see her.

Lynn - leaves two guesses. One with picante sauce in SA or two down I-35 south to Cotulla. I would say its fifty fifty either way. If its SA we will probably never see them at Houston or any where else.

Obergrafeter - I know who you are talking about in San Antonio. Thats the same guy that has pickled "Miss Marilyn". What lives in Cotulla though?
