BT-13 Valiant 41-21178

Tue Sep 05, 2006 11:50 am

BT-13 Valiant 41-21178 - Owned by the Commemorative Air Force and assigned to the West Houston Squadron-
made its first flight since Sept. 11, 2004 this past weekend.
The "Vibrator" needed its bottom wing reskinned in order to fix some fuel leaks. The plane will be at the Sept. 16th West Houston Squadron Open House.
Hats off to the Binford Bunch!!!

With this addition, West Houston Squadron now has three of its five assigned aircraft airworthy. The AT-6 "Ace in the Hole", Stinson S-108 are flying and the N3N-3 will be getting its rebuilt engine back by late Sept.

Great news....any pictures for my BT-13 site?

Do you know of Harlan Short? I lost his e-mail during a PC crash and would like to get in touch with him.

Thanks!

A Vultee with a fuel leak?!?! How can that be?!?

When I cleaned all the crap out of my wing that was being used for sealant (it looked like sawdust that had been soaked in tar) I thought to myself "How'd this thing ever even hold any fuel?"

Anyway, congrats, that's terrific!
