Here's a good one.

On Tuesday the Colling's airplanes started arriving in Beverly Massachusetts (KBVY) for the weekend. Tondelayo was dropped off that afternoon from another stop in what I think was Plymouth, MA (KPYM).
Also on Tuesday afternoon we saw 909 enroute to Manchester, NH (KMHT) flying over Hanscom Field (KBED), just a nice sound to hear over all the APU's running on the ramp.
Wednesday, I took a sick day, emergency dentist appointment.later that day I took a ride over to see if anything was going on in BVY and ended up talking to a local pilot about working on a turboprop airplane at the airport. There was nothing going on.
Thursday, Back to work and a roadtrip to Lawrence, MA (KLWM). Nothing going on there either. Back at Beverly I heard Liberator 24J on the radio. The boys were in with the other two big rigs.
Friday,I stopped into the local Chevy Dealer to get an oil change and a sticker done on the work truck. While in the Wal-Mart Next door I heard the T-6 and Stearman passing over enroute to BVY. Nothing to do in KBED, so I went home early. I spent the afternoon hanging out at the airport, SUPRISE SUPRISE!
When the Fort went out on a ride trip it brought a whole bunch of people up to the industrial park parking lot next to the airport to watch them come back in. Three of the local police departments finest were on hand to watch also. After the 24 went for a ride a joke was made about checking them out on the radar gun to see how fast they were going.

Last night I learned the a B-24 lands at 110 MPH and the B-25 leaves the runway at 125MPH.
(and that radar guns are more accurate than I realized)

I tried to get a picture of the cop and copcar with the radar gun pointing at the B-25 on landing but my battery had died and I didnt have time to switch.

The 25 looked really good at dusk with about 10 inches of flames pulsing at the end of the upper collector ring.

This morning it was raining, but they were out flying at about 9AM anyway, All three airplanes again. Good weather is coming soon.

Great to hear round engines in the Neighborhood!

Yes it is,

I talked to him on thursday night. He was out in Springfield.
Then I heard him on the radio flying back into Lawrence on Friday.

Our timing is very bad. Everytime I take our work truck home I give him a call to see if he is around to service the tires in the big rig. He is always working! One of these days we are supposed to go run it so I can give him a list of Squaks.

Oh Well.

BTW what are you doing up so late?
