It took a little time but useing the Registry and Jerry's posting I see Harry Doan was killed in the Skyraider at the TICO show back in 92. I was told they removed the roll bar do to it's weight
Latest info has her based at the Lone Star Flight Museum,Tx. Bureau #126882

You're right about Harry Doan's Skyraider, but the roll over structure was not removed. I wasn't there that year, but what I had heard was that rescue personel (or somebody other than Harry) reached in and un-did his seat belt. He landed on his head, broke his neck and suffocated before they could lift the aircraft.
Harry's name has mixed emotions amoung some warbirder's, but nobody should go that way.

I was there but aways for the accident.
I thought he landed a little fast and long but that was a long time ago.
