Any suggestions on where to go aviation and WWII history related? Some of the countries I'll be in are Italy (Rome), Czechoslovakia (Prague), Turkey (Istanbul), Russia (various parts), Bulgaria (various parts), Poland (various parts) and a few others.

Hi Brad
In the Czech Republic, the Kbely Museum is a must. There is also a transport museum that has a few aircraft.
Istanbul, there is the AFM near the airport.
Poland, the Air Museum at Krakow is very good. In downtown Warsaw there is the Army museum whcih has several aircraft on display
Russia- see the Victory Museum ( thread further down), and Monino.
Let me know what other parts you intend to visit and I will check.
Rome, try and get to the Italian AFM which is at Vigna di Valle ( about 25km north west of Rome.)
Bulgaria, Military Museum at Plovdiv.
If you need particulars I will email.
