HI YES ITS A ALLISON V1710 LONG NOSE MOST LIKELY FROM AN EARLY P-40 OR MAYBE ONE OF THOSE FUNNY LOOKING BELL A/C IN THE OTHER PHOTO,ONE OF WHICH IS STILL BURIED AT PAX RIVER NAS ALONG WITH A GERMAN ARADO JET BUT HANDS OFF NAVY PRESERVATION AT WORK !!THANKS MIKE :cry:

No question that is an early P-40 engine.
