The C-82 is home:
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A vintage military plane is back in the city where it was born. The C-82 Flying Boxcar touched down yesterday at Hagerstown Regional Airport. The plane was built at Hagerstown's Fairchild plant during World War Two and was purchased for 140-thousand dollars in August by the Hagerstown Aviation Museum.
The C-82 was designed to haul troops and equipment. It was greeted yesterday by about 200 aviation enthusiasts and people who worked at Fairchild.
