I have never seen any of these color photos before. Talk about something that looks like a movie prop! Was this thing really that big? The first two photos make it look like it would dwarf the Spruce Goose! The last photo looks much more believable. On second look it appears there are two two different but similar aircraft represented.

It's a real airplane. However, the first few photos are 3D graphics renderings, and they have got the scales wrong between the humans and the aircraft. Look at the actual photographs later on and you will see that the scales are much more realistic looking... sure was big brute, wasn't it!

Cheers,
Richard

On the first three shots they added a lot more engines(looks like at least 20 engines total) and a lot of windows in the wing leading edge.

that thing is fugly!!!!! f in ugly!!!! the russians & the french in my opinion hold a dual award for the overall ugliest aircraft designs known to man. before i get bashed...... all countries have ugly ducklings going back decades, but those 2 nations take 1st & 2nd place in over all consistency. no..... i couldn't do any better either. i'm just speaking from optical asthetic value, i'm sure you can all relate.

I first saw one about 12 years ago in a flying models magazine as part of an ad for some sort of modeling doohickey or covering. It was just an artists profile view and I thought someone had just made up a design to look as ridiculous and unrealistic as possible. Later I bought a huge book on military aircraft and was stunned to see an illustration of this behemoth.
