Was that John Luther flying? I haven't heard a report on his condition after his wreck in the Thrush in years. Last I heard, he was still pretty much in a vegetative state. Darn shame.
Anyway, seeing him fly that Jug (if that's indeed him) brings back some memories. Thanks Brad.

Linda Finch also flew the t-bolt in 89-91 at BKD. This is when she was with John Luther.

The picture looks like John Luther taxing by in the P-47. That's Lefty flying by in the P-38. I flew to this show with my instructor in a C-152

It was one of the best one's. Early 90's, Steve Rister would know.....

Oh that's right Lynn, put me on the spot! CAF P-47 was at BKD 1990. Hey, remember going up and getting some pics of Don Talley in the YAK-11? YAK was painted green then.

Roger that, remember when John made his pass in the show, nothing but black smoke and that R-2800 wide open coming in as Lefty started his show.

I love the T38 paint job was it free paint week again or were any P47s painted like that in ww2?Thanks Mike

I think some 56 FG P-47s were painted as such.
