F6F-5 IN BLUE ANGEL MARKINGS

Fri Nov 03, 2006 3:45 pm

Spotted in the restoration hangar at Pensacola on 11-2-06 F6F-5, 94203, painted on 1 side only as a Blue Angel. Next week is the Blue's homecoming airshow and this years marks the 60th anniversary of them. I have a photo but don't know how to post to this board.[/img]

That explains why the F6F normally painted as McCampbell's Mimsi III was not on the display floor when I visited on Oct. 24. Must have been in the paint shop. :(
