Can anyone identify the aircraft on Google Earth that are on display at San Isidro Air Base in the Dominican Republic?
Google Earth Coordinates:
+18° 30' 09.40", -69° 46' 27.48"
One looks like a T-6 and another an O-2, but what are the others and do they have a P-51 on display anywhere?
In addition, if you follow the road that the aircraft are displayed on to the Northeast, you will see a junkyard of airframes on the North side of the Air Base. Any ID's on these types?
Thanks and have fun!

The one in the middle of the three on display is the P-51D. You can see photos of it here:

As for the planes in the junkyard I'd almost say the one in the middle of the trio farthest to the NE (the complete one) is an A-26 or B-25. If so, would it be an ex-Air Force a/c or an impounded drug runner?

Times like this I wish I had a bigger monitor

Do you see the black DC-3 just north of the P-51? It looks like if you follow the other road, some of the planes may has been there.
Interesting site

I'm more inclined to say that the O-2 you mention may be a De Havilland Vampire. Also, that image may be outdated, since the P-51,according to a source,it's sitting next to the AT-6.

Jaldo;
I think you are correct . On second look it does appear to be a Vampire.
You can see it in the background of the photo on the MustangsMustangs website using the link that T.J. posted above. Very interesting, considering it's so close to Halloween!!!
Also, in the background of the photo on the right, is what looks like an A-37 Dragonfly.
BlueThunder's post to the Dominican AF history site shows that they did have O-2's, Vampires, C-47's, B-25H's and A-37's among a lot of other types.
By the way, the B-25H that is on display at the New England Air Museum is an Ex-Dominican Air Force bird.

Our Company did an airshow at this base about 5 years ago.
There is a P-51, a T-6, a Vampire and some other stuff out in front of the main gate. The P-51 used to sit in front of the Defense Ministry building in Santo Domingo. They spruced it up and moved it to its present location about 6 years ago. There is also a DC-3 around the base too. I have pictures of all of these aircraft. I just need to dig them out and I will post them for your viewing pleasure. I did not get a chance to visit their "boneyard" however. They do have an A-37 "Dragonfly" that sits atop of their Officers Club that is kept in good condition. I had a wonderful time down there and hope to go back either next year or the following year to do another airshow for their government.

Are there any mapping tools that cover the Dominican Republic better than Google Maps?
